Radiations (with GM45)
Gamma dose rate of the last 24 hours
(Radioactive dose per unit of time)
Understanding the "Last 24 Hours" chart
An average dose rate of 0.13 µSv / h corresponds to an average level of exposure to natural radioactivity of 1.14 mSv / year. (1 mSv = 1 000 µSv = 1 000 000 nSv).
This corresponds to the natural radioactive background radiation for the Carlsbourg station.

Health impact
Many of the parameters measured by Model SMOGGIE can have a negative health impact, ranging from simple allergies to various cancers. Therefore the device gathers valuable data on the quality of our environment.
Particulate matter PM2.5 refers to small particles with a diameter of up to 2.5 microns. These particles can penetrate deep into the lungs , causing allergies, respiratory and cardiovascular diseases

Monitoring
The data for this graph is obtained using a geiger counter connected to a PC. The counter is manufactured by Black Cat Systems, Model GM45.
Radiation Monitor commissioned 1 Nov 2011.
Calibration
The GM45 probe was recalibrated July 2022 according to the Gamma-Scout. This is tested in an authorized institute by the state. Each unit is supplied with a certificate stating its serial number.
